Collagistas Festival 2017 in VIU’s neighbourhood (Isola)

What do you think about if I say “Collage”?

For those who love art and have more than a smattering of it, this won’t be an absolute novelty, but the fact that Milan is ready to host the “Collagistas Festival” is a great news anyway.

After Berlin, Thessaloniki and Eindhoven, Milan is the next city chosen for the fourth edition of the collage festival and international meeting. An analogical event, organized by artists to receive other 51 artists from all over the world, to a festival which has been already enjoying success…and for many reasons…

Are you curious about it? Well, then let’s start with the fundamental news: when, where and how it is organized.

It will take place in Milan from 22nd to 29th September at Stecca 3.0 in the historic Isola district, also known for its high density of cultural and artistic associations characterizing the area.

Isola area is close to our Hotel and that’s also why we are happy to write in our blog about this interesting and original festival.

Collagistas Festival is a show coming to its fourth edition.

The event has always taken place abroad and is now coming for the first time to Milan and not by chance to the Isola district. “Milan has been chosen, because in the organization policy there is a desire to move around in different countries,” says to Artribune collage artist Walter Paganuzzi who is co-working to the general organization of the event, together with Silvia Testa of the duo TeatroBalocco and the foreign team that has always organized the international festival and meeting.

Everything started in 2014 in Berlin, there was no interest in organizing another collage exhibition, because an important criterion in the selection of participants has always been their presence during the festival.

There will be 51 artists coming from all over the world. As said, they will be present in person, in order to compete with each other and meet the people who will visit and participate actively in the success of the festival.

It’s the effort by organizers and artists that makes this festival so special and interesting. There will be artists from Greece, Germany, Brazil, Netherlands, Israel, U.K., Canada, Australia, Argentina, Slovenia, Spain, USA, Finland, Poland, France, Chile, Belgium, Ireland, South Korea, Russia and Italy.

In addition, during the festival days, you will be able to attend to workshops, presentations of publications, performances and much more.
